Technology
From password management to wireless internet, the Division of Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) meets all your campus technology needs. EIT keeps you connected to what matters most, from updating your Facebook status to checking your grades online, EIT makes it ALL possible.
EIT's interaction with students begins early during the admissions process when they receive their FAMNetID. A student's FAMNetID is the key to unlock FAMU’s online systems.
Your FAMNetID will ensure you;
- Stay Informed with FAMMail- This is FAMU’s email system and the official method of communication on campus. Students receive information about financial aid, recreational events, educational events, scholarships and much more via their FAMMail Account.
- Stay in the Know with iRattler – This system allows students to register for classes, check grades, pay tuition and maintain their personal information online
- Stay Connected with FAMUWirelessNet - FAMU Wireless is available campus wide to provide internet service where students need it the most.
- Stay Engaged with TheHILL-. This is an interactive virtual interface that allows students to access integrated information from educational, personal, and social applications from a centralized platform. (coming soon)
Additional EIT Services:
IT Lounge in the Commons
EIT provides an IT Lounge in the University Commons where students can socialize, access the internet, finish assignments, get their laptops setup for wireless and receive assistance regarding their FAMNetID and FAMU systems from knowledgeable helpdesk staff
Smart Classrooms
Smart Classrooms are the buzz on campuses around the United States and Florida A&M University is no different. Over thirty three (33) classrooms on campus are already equipped with SMART classroom technology. Over the next three years, EIT in collaboration with the Office of Instructional Technology, will convert all the classrooms throughout the campus to SAMRT classrooms.
